AMR IL 1200 autonomous mobile robot on the aisle floor, two further vehicles behind it
RHB-Robotics · Autonomous mobile robots

We think AMR from a customer perspective.

Autonomous mobile robots for intralogistics, from development and production through customer-specific adaptation to support in daily operation.

What is RHB-Robotics?

Origin

The name is new. The expertise behind it is not.

  1. April 2022

    Continental Mobile Robots

The business unit is set up as its own Product Center. Vehicle development is already under way at this point.

  2. September 2025

    AUMOVIO Robotic Solutions

Following the spin-off of Continental's automotive division, the Product Center is renamed within the newly formed AUMOVIO SE group.

  3. July 2026Today

    RHB-Robotics

The business unit becomes part of RHB-Industries GmbH and operates under a new name.

Our approach

We treat the AMR business as one continuous process.

From development through to supporting the systems in daily operation.

01

Development and production

We develop and build the systems ourselves, including the components that decide, in continuous operation, whether a system is genuinely available and whether it fits your particular conditions.

02

Design and configuration

The design of your fleet starts with an analysis of your material flow and results in a finished configuration that meets your individual requirements.

03

Operation and support

After handover we remain a reliable partner at your side. You can adapt our base coverage to your requirements with additional services booked individually.

Because we run our own AMR systems, we see every day what really counts in an automated material flow, and we know the intralogistics challenges that come with it.

Experience × Innovation

The AMR systems are new. The expertise behind them is not.

Safety-critical components for the automotive industry have been built in high volumes at this site for decades. Parts held to a zero-defect standard.

At RHB-Robotics we have taken on that way of working and that standard:
Verify rather than assume. Test rather than guess. Solve rather than work around.

Every vehicle is traceable, at consistent quality as volumes rise.

On our modular design, simultaneous engineering, and what you gain from both.

Value creation

Development, production, sales and support are all in-house, here in Rheinböllen.

Development

How mature is the technology?

We handle development, prototyping and testing ourselves and keep evolving. We simulate customer scenarios in our Test Center, adapt the robots to customer-specific requirements, and deliver complex development work such as planning and building wiring harnesses.

Production

How are the systems built, and to what standard?

Production follows the same standard that safety-critical automotive components are built to at this site. Vertical integration is high: every vehicle passes through several stages, from the prototype phase through customer-specific adaptation to series production.

Sales

How do I get to a solution that supports my material flow?

Your layout is the way into an AMR project, not our catalogue. Together we analyse your material flow, build a transport matrix from it and derive the configuration that fits. You talk early on to the people who will look after your project later.

Support

What happens when a vehicle stops?

When a vehicle stops, part of your material flow stops. Hotline, remote support and on-site support are coordinated centrally. What our base coverage includes as standard, and what you can add on top, is set out in full, including the limits of every commitment.

Vehicle and software

Who is responsible for what when things do not run smoothly?

An AMR project consists of many parts and all of them have to hold up. We are responsible for the vehicle: pick-up, movement, safety and availability in shift operation. We develop and maintain the vehicle software and the safety functions ourselves.

On the level above, where orders are distributed and routes are planned, we stay open. If you already run a fleet management system, our vehicles fit into it via VDA 5050, without additional middleware. If you are starting from scratch, we supply the control system.

That an interface exists says little. What matters is that the vehicles already run in those systems in customer operation.

Assembly

Who builds what runs at your site?

How good a vehicle turns out is decided in the steps that come before it.
Behind each of those are people you rarely get to see.

Use case Rheinböllen

We know your questions. We had them first.

In Rheinböllen our robots automate the material flow between production areas, in mixed traffic with people and manually operated industrial trucks.
At the start of a project we invite you to see our AMR systems in productive use, and to follow how they are integrated and controlled in an industrial environment, from the top layer of an ERP system through a holistic fleet management system to human-machine interfaces.

Contact

If material moves at your site, we should talk about it.

It does not start with an order. It starts with the question of whether a transport can be automated at all. That is what we talk about first, with no obligation.
